At KOSEC we support the next generation of financial professionals through our internship opportunities, which run in collaboration with some of the best universities in the country. For instance, students from UNSW, UTS and ICMS have recently completed internship programmes with our firm.
The goal is to provide a blend of observational opportunities, practical tasks and structured feedback so that interns can ascertain what is required at a graduate level and what they can do to develop their current skill set, ahead of entering the workforce.
The KOSEC Internship Program provides students with opportunities to observe professionals at work in an industry area that they would like to persue a future career in. It allows them to gain real-world workplace life skills, enhance their CVs, and identify and observe how degree skills can be used in the workforce. It also provides them an opportunity to network with a possible future employer.
The KOSEC internship program also provides KOSEC with rich flow of ambitious, energetic students who can bring specialist skills, motivation, energy and new ideas into the work place. In turn, the program can enable us to discover talented future graduates and potential future team members.
Alongside internships, we deliver onsite presentations, guest lectures, mentoring sessions and workshops for a range of student societies and universities. Our belief is that by helping students to learn more about our work, the financial services industry in general, and their own career goals we are adding a little to the conversation that helps establish young graduates in the roles that they will flourish in.
